Why is He so weird?

So, for a while now I have been saving things for TBD. Nothing spectacular, but just a few items here and there that I want to save for when "we" become "us". I have these items in my cedar chest that my parents got me for Christmas when I was in high school. I have attached the photo of the culprit.

Anyway, I was thinking today why God has us go through these times of preparation. I mean, the world would say to me, "What the heck are you doing?" Frankly, I have said that to myself a time or seven. But, I know that God is weird and good. For some reason, the act of collecting things, a nesting of sorts, keeps my spirit focused on the promises. Occasionally, I like to open the cedar chest and look at my four things, smile, close the lid and move on. If I already had a wedding dress, I would probably put in on and walk around my house for an hour. Luckily, I'm not that literal...or crazy. So, in the mean time, I like my four things and I can't wait to show TBD.

I just hope that I don't take this to the extreme where I end up on Jerry Springer as the girl who has every part of her wedding planned, bought, and paid for...except for the groom!

Someone please hold me accountable!

Who needs TBD when you have THIS!

Carol was too sweet and asked me to ride in her Mini with her in Dublin's St. Patrick's Day parade on Saturday. Turns out another one of the Mini owners had TWO Minis and needed a driver for the second one! Being the generous girl I am, I had to step up and lend my services. What a cool experience! This car was so awesome to drive...I'm seriously considering ditching the Jetta!

Let's Start at the Very Beginning...

It IS a very good place to start.

Thanks Amie, for starting this blog for me! It's probably the funniest, freakiest, and sweetest thing that anyone has done for me in a long time!

So, here we go. This will be a really fun thing for me to do, and probably more information than anyone cares to know about! Being in God's waiting room is a weird place to be, but one that has really fun surprises.

Right now on my computer screen there is a cool quote I found that says, "A woman must be so hidden in God, that a man must pursue Christ to find her." Sometimes I feel a little TOO hidden. Like maybe I should just stick a foot out or something. But, I know God's good!

On a more humorous note, I just got this email from a friend from college. It says:

Five Tips for A Woman:
1. It is important that a man helps you around the house and has a job.
2. It is important that a man makes you laugh.
3. It is important to find a man you can count on and doesn't lie to you.
4. It is important that a man loves you and spoils you.
5. It is important that these four men don't know each other.

So, this is my gage on romance at this point. :o)

Thanks again Amie, you are the coolest!
